Rockette Richardson Ewell is Vice President, Community Development Manager for U.S. Bank’s Southern California region, which includes San Diego, Orange County and the Inland Empire. In this role, she oversees the bank’s community reinvestment efforts and related grant making.
A transplant to California from northeast Ohio, Ewell previously served as executive director of the Campus District, a not for profit neighborhood development organization in Cleveland. Prior to joining the Campus District, her banking career spanned over twenty five years, much of it focused on community reinvestment, corporate philanthropy and community relationship management.
She currently serves on the boards of the Housing Opportunity Collaborative, NeighborWorks Orange County and the San Diego Museum of Man, where she is a member of the executive committee. She also serves on the corporate advisory boards of the Asian Business Association of Orange County and COR Community Development Corporation, a faith-based nonprofit headquartered in Irvine CA. In addition, she is U.S. Bank’s representative on the San Diego City-County Reinvestment Task Force and the Inland Empire’s Funders Alliance, and is a 2015 graduate of Lead San Diego’s IMPACT program.
A native Texan, Ewell is a graduate of Princeton University, where she majored in Religion.
