Betty Lo is Vice President, Regional Community Alliances & Consumer Engagement for Nielsen and works with community leaders, media, entertainment and consumer businesses to promote Nielsen’s education, philanthropic, and public affairs initiatives in the community and is responsible for the Eastern U.S., the national Asian American community, Nielsen’s multicultural advertising initiatives and APA Advisory Council. Betty has nearly 20 years with global consumer product goods (CPG) companies including The Coca-Cola Company and Newell Rubbermaid leading global initiatives in communications/PR, marketing, organizational development, change management, process improvement and building Asian-American business opportunities to increase organizational productivity and profitability.
Betty is a thought leader for Nielsen on the Asian American consumers and is a sought-after industry and community speaker on multicultural consumer shopping behaviors, attitudes and media consumption habits. As a mom to an active girl, Betty is passionate about mentoring the next generation of women to become leaders in their organization while balancing the demands of being a working mom and wife.
Betty is an active leader within the Asian-American community and serves as a national board member of the Asian/ Pacific Islander American Chambers of Commerce & Entrepreneurship (ACE) and a national board member for the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP). She also is a part of the Asian Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF) Advisory Board and Organization of Chinese Americans (OCA) – Asian American Advocates’ Business Advisory Council.
Betty earned her bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan College and graduated from the Executive MBA program at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
